panasonic-tv-65z90beka-oled-fernseher
Panasonic TV-65Z90BEKA 65-Inch OLED TV

The Panasonic TV-65Z90BEKA is a 65-inch OLED TV that, with its Master OLED Pro panel and HCX Pro AI Processor MK II, comes close to flagship picture quality – at a noticeably friendlier price. It's the freshly produced batch of the Z90B series, recognizable by the extra A in the name, and technically carries over practically one-to-one what already proved itself in the predecessor.

5 years warranty included

The Panasonic TV-65Z90BEKA comes with a 5-year warranty from us: 2 years standard warranty plus 3 years additional warranty from Panasonic, included free of charge for purchases from 1 August 2026. As an authorised Panasonic specialist retailer, we point you to the registration at the time of purchase: online within 90 days of the purchase date, with proof of purchase (including the model number) and a photo of the serial number on the back of the device. Warranty claims are handled via the Panasonic service network.

Why the TV-65Z90BEKA?

The HCX Pro AI Processor MK II recalculates contrast, colour and motion sharpness in real time, and the Master OLED Pro panel delivers rich black levels and a refresh rate up to 144 Hz. For gamers there are two HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K at 144 Hz, VRR, ALLM plus FreeSync Premium and G-Sync compatibility – Game Mode Extreme switches off lag almost entirely. If you were already convinced by the predecessor model, you get the same substance here, just from a newer production batch.

What you see and hear

Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ Adaptive, HLG and Filmmaker Mode make sure films look the way they were meant to, not however they happen to land on your living-room lighting. On the sound side, Dynamic Theater Surround Pro with Dolby Atmos and a built-in subwoofer covers the basics – for a big cinema night a soundbar or speaker set can still help out, and there's an optical digital output on board for that. Fire TV with Alexa, Apple AirPlay and Apple Home brings streaming services, voice control and smart-home connectivity along.

Who is the TV-65Z90BEKA suited for – and who isn't it for?

Bluntly: if you want a 65-incher with rich black levels, a strong gaming package and reference-level picture processing without paying the flagship premium, you're in the right place. It's also well suited for home cinema with wall mounting thanks to VESA 300 × 300. If, on the other hand, you need the very last nits of peak brightness or absolutely want a spotless Skyworth-free conscience, take a closer look at the Z95 flagship or another model – that said, the new manufacturing is no false labelling either way.

Our verdict

The 48-inch variant of the Z90B series picked up a What Hi-Fi? Award in 2025 as best premium TV in the 48–50-inch class, with a full five stars – same panel, same picture engine, just smaller. The 65-inch TV-65Z90BEKA follows in the same footsteps: a lot of picture for the money, without any compromise felt on processor or panel. A TV that doesn't shout for attention, but quietly earns it.

Technical data

Screen diagonal: 65 inches / 164 cm

Resolution: 4K Ultra HD (3840 × 2160)

Panel: Master OLED Pro

Picture processor: HCX Pro AI Processor MK II

Refresh rate: up to 144 Hz

HDR: Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ Adaptive, HLG, Filmmaker Mode

Gaming: Game Mode Extreme, 2× HDMI 2.1 (4K@144Hz), VRR, ALLM, AMD FreeSync Premium, NVIDIA G-Sync compatible

Sound: Dynamic Theater Surround Pro with Dolby Atmos, built-in subwoofer

Operating system: Fire TV (Premium) with Alexa, Apple AirPlay and Apple Home

Tuner: DVB-T2/C/S2, SAT>IP / TV>IP

Connections: 4× HDMI (2× HDMI 2.1), 3× USB, LAN, optical digital output, CI+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth

VESA wall mount: 300 × 300 mm

Dimensions with stand (W × H × D): 1444 × 910 × 348 mm

Weight with stand: 30.0 kg

Energy efficiency class: G (SDR/HDR) – energy consumption SDR 112 kWh/1000h, HDR 186 kWh/1000h

Warranty: 5 years (2 years standard + 3 years additional warranty, registration within 90 days of the purchase date)

Included: TV, swivel stand, premium remote control with voice control, power cable, quick start guide

Frequently asked questions

Is the Panasonic TV-65Z90BEKA good for gaming?
Yes, very good. Two HDMI 2.1 inputs deliver 4K at up to 144 Hz, plus VRR, ALLM, FreeSync Premium and G-Sync compatibility. Game Mode Extreme further reduces input lag. For current-generation consoles and PC gaming, the TV-65Z90BEKA therefore brings everything needed for a smooth, responsive picture.

Do I absolutely need a soundbar with it?
No. Dynamic Theater Surround Pro with Dolby Atmos and a built-in subwoofer delivers decent, spacious sound straight out of the box. For a big cinema feeling in the living room, a soundbar or speaker set is still worthwhile – the optical digital output is there for exactly that. Feel free to ask us for advice on a suitable addition.

What's the difference to the TV-65Z90BEK?
Technically practically nothing: same Master OLED Pro panel, same HCX Pro AI Processor MK II, same Z90B series. The difference lies in manufacturing – the TV-65Z90BEKA comes from new production under the Panasonic-Skyworth partnership, recognizable by the extra A in the name. Both are good, recommendable devices of the same generation.

Can I mount the TV-65Z90BEKA on the wall?
Yes, via the VESA mount 300 × 300 mm, the TV-65Z90BEKA can be attached to practically any common wall mount. With the stand it weighs around 30 kg, correspondingly less without it. We're happy to advise you on a suitable mount and can also take care of on-site installation on request.

Do I need a subscription to use the TV sensibly?
No. Fire TV brings many streaming services along, but DVB-T2/C/S2 reception, SAT-IP and classic television also work entirely without a subscription. Streaming services are an option you add on if you want – not a requirement for enjoying the TV-65Z90BEKA.

What warranty applies to the Panasonic TV-65Z90BEKA?
5 years warranty: 2 years standard plus 3 years additional warranty, included free of charge for purchases from 1 August 2026. What matters is the online registration within 90 days of the purchase date, with proof of purchase and a photo of the serial number. We'll remind you of it at the time of purchase. Claims are handled via the Panasonic service network.

Why buy the Panasonic TV-65Z90BEKA from HD Zürisee?
We've been in Wädenswil since 1997 and advise you on which TV suits your room, your furnishings and your speakers.
