In the familiar, heavy SPU housing, that results in a cartridge that stays powerful but shows noticeably more resolution.

What you hear

The rich SPU base character, this time with noticeably more detail and precision in the treble and cleaner transient reproduction. The bass stays controlled and powerful, without thickening.

Who is the SPU Synergy G suited for?

For experienced SPU listeners with a good medium-weight to heavy tonearm who love the character of the series but want an upgrade in resolution. Straight talk: anyone new to the SPU universe starts more affordably with the #1 E or GTX E — the Synergy G is the next step for those who already know the series.

Our verdict

A well-thought-out SPU upgrade: nude stylus, more resolution, without losing the warm SPU character.
