The goal: the most interference-free signal transfer possible between line-level components.

What you'll hear

A calmer, clearer soundstage with less background noise – the effect shows up most clearly in already high-quality chains, where every cable can become the limiting link.

Who it's for (plain talk)

For demanding line connections (phono stage to preamp, preamp to power amp) in an already high-quality system. In an entry-level chain, a less expensive cable usually delivers more value for money.

Technical data

Conductor: 4N HiFC + 4N OFC, triangular arrangement

Connectors: Ortofon's own gold-plated RCA plugs with collet mechanism

Length: 1.5 m (2 cables per set)

Shielding: aluminium foil + braided 4N OFC mesh (0.12 mm × 8 × 16)

Cable capacitance: 360 pF/m

Cable diameter: Ø 8 mm

Damping: halogen-free, high-strength elastomer

Frequently asked questions

Where exactly do I use this cable?
As a line connection between components with RCA outputs, e.g. phono stage to preamp or preamp to power amp – not as a tonearm cable directly at the cartridge.

Is the extra cost worth it over a standard cable?
In an already high-quality chain, yes, noticeably – in an entry-level system, other components are usually the limiting factor first.

Why buy interconnect cables at HD Zürisee?
We'll listen to the difference together with you and give you honest advice on whether the investment is worthwhile at this point in your chain.

Goes well with

A tonearm cable from the 6NX-TSW series for the signal path directly from the cartridge.

Let's talk about your chain – call us (+41 44 680 22 00) or message us on WhatsApp (076 534 22 00).

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0932/3262/8048/files/ortofon-reference-blue-rca-1-5m-kabel-frontansicht.jpg?v=1788609343
