Where the Mix is the entry point, the DJ steps things up a notch in precision and tracking stability.

Why the Concorde MKII DJ?

The stiffer-tuned cantilever delivers more precise tracking than the Mix – at the same 6 mV output and spherical stylus. The result: secure tracking across every music style and especially low record wear, which your original pressings will thank you for over the years. Add to that the wider, more stable MKII housing and the removable finger lift.

What you get

Accurate, balanced playback and forgiving groove handling in a system that takes club and on-the-go use in its stride. The DJ comes as a single, with the stylus pre-mounted; for two decks there's the Twin set in a flight case.

Who is the Concorde MKII DJ suited for?

For club and mobile DJs who play across every style and want a reliable, record-friendly all-rounder. Straight talk: for uncompromising turntablism you want the Scratch, for maximum sonic refinement the Club or Elite. The DJ is the golden middle ground – more precision than the Mix, more robustness than the elliptical models.

Our verdict

The all-rounder of the MKII range for anyone who wants more precision than the Mix without committing to Scratch or Hi-Fi territory. The DJ has a stiffer-tuned cantilever and therefore tracks more precisely, with very low record wear. The Mix is the slightly more affordable entry-level all-rounder. Sonically they're close, with the DJ playing a touch more controlled.

Is the Concorde MKII DJ suitable for scratching?

For occasional scratching and back-cueing, yes – that's what it's built for. For intensive, hard turntablism, the Concorde MKII Scratch is the better choice: higher output voltage and tuned for maximum groove grip. The DJ scores more on balance across all styles.

Why buy the Concorde MKII DJ from HD Zürisee?

Because we've known since 1997 which systems really hold up in everyday use – and we'll tell you honestly whether Mix, DJ or Scratch is right for you.
