nuprimeac6
NuPrime Pure AC-6 Power Conditioner Power Strip

The NuPrime Pure AC-6 is a high-quality power conditioner strip and AC power conditioner with six outlets that supplies your whole hi-fi system with filtered, low-noise power.

It is more than a multi-socket strip: a multi-stage filter topology keeps electromagnetic (EMI) and high-frequency interference (RFI) out of the power supply. Whether this turns into a darker background and more detail depends on your mains and your chain – sometimes it is clear, sometimes subtle.

Why the Pure AC-6?

Clean power is the invisible foundation of every system. The Pure AC-6 reduces AC noise by over 20 dB (5th-order LC filter) and filters in three separate filter banks: two high-power slots for power-hungry devices such as power amplifiers, four low-power slots for sensitive sources such as DAC and streamer. The names only describe the filtering – current and voltage are the same at all outlets.

NuPrime puts the Pure series under the motto "Power, refined.". The AC-6 is the large distribution station for complete chains. And because, as NuPrime itself says, it is no miracle cure: the audible effect is system-dependent.

What you get

✅ Over 20 dB noise reduction: 5th-order LC filters clear interference out of the mains voltage. What you hear from it – such as a calmer background – depends on mains and components.

✅ Separate filter banks: Three filter banks with 2 high-power and 4 low-power slots: power amplifiers and sensitive sources do not share the same filter.

✅ Six Schuko outlets: EU version with enough slots to supply a complete chain centrally.

✅ 15 A circuit breaker: Trips on overload and so protects strip and chain.

✅ Display with voltage, current and power: You see what your chain draws – and in a dark listening room you simply switch it off.

✅ Trigger on/off: Switches the whole system centrally at the press of a button.

✅ Solid housing: Heavy, damping aluminium shields the filter elements against interference; high-purity copper conductors inside.

Who is the Pure AC-6 for?

For everyone with a serious hi-fi or high-end chain in which the power amplifier and sensitive sources hang on the same strip and who see the mains as the last construction site. Also sensible where the mains seems suspiciously polluted (harsh sound, imprecise bass, a background never quite black) – although such impressions can also have entirely different causes.

Plain talk: A power conditioner does not replace a good system and does not conjure up missing detail – it tidies up the interference the mains brings in. How clearly the effect shows depends on your mains and your components. The protection is rated at 15 A; for very large power amplifier pairs we are happy to plan the distribution together with you. The outlets are Schuko (EU version): that fits the plugs of most hi-fi devices; with Swiss T13 plugs you plan for an adapter depending on the device.

Our verdict

The Pure AC-6 is an unobtrusive component with clear technology: separate filter banks for power amplifiers and sources, a solid circuit breaker and a display you can simply switch off when needed. Anyone who has invested in clean components shouldn't let the power become the weakest link – and at 5.8 kg it is by no means a lightweight strip anyway. Whether the step is worthwhile sonically, we will tell you honestly before you take it.

Technical specifications

Type: AC power conditioner / power conditioner strip

Number of outlets: 6 × Schuko (CEE 7/4), EU version

Allocation: 2 × high-power + 4 × low-power in three filter banks (same current and voltage ratings at all outlets)

Noise suppression: over 20 dB (typical)

Filter technology: 5th-order LC filters, separate filter banks for power amplifiers and sensitive sources

Protection: 15 A circuit breaker

Display: voltage / current / power, can be switched off

System control: 1 × trigger input, 1 × trigger output (12 V)

Internal conductor: high-purity, low-resistance copper wiring

Connection: IEC inlet (IEC C14)

Operating voltage: 100–240 V AC

Housing: sturdy, damping aluminium

Dimensions (W × H × D): 430 × 111 × 281 mm

Weight: 5.8 kg

Warranty: 2 years

What's in the box: Pure AC-6 power conditioner strip, high-quality power cable, quick-start guide

FAQ

What does the NuPrime Pure AC-6 do for the sound?
It filters interference out of the power supply and reduces AC noise by over 20 dB.
