nadd3045
NAD D3045 Digital Integrated Amplifier with HDMI & DAC

The NAD D3045 is a compact digital integrated amplifier with DAC, HDMI ARC and MM phono, combining 2× 60 watts of HybridDigital power in a space-saving upright housing.

The little all-rounder with HDMI: TV, turntable and computer on a single, slim amplifier.

Why the NAD D3045?

Because it fills the gap between compactness and versatility. The HybridDigital power stage delivers 2× 60 watts, the DAC handles up to 24-bit/192 kHz and DSD, and with HDMI ARC the TV becomes a source – volume control via the TV remote included. Phono and bidirectional Bluetooth aptX HD are on board too.

What you get

The D3045 brings a lot of connectivity into a small footprint: HDMI ARC for the TV, MM phono for the turntable, one line-level input, two optical and one coaxial digital input, plus asynchronous USB-B for the computer. Add to that two-way Bluetooth aptX HD, a subwoofer output and a headphone output.

Who is the NAD D3045 right for – and who isn't it right for?

Perfect if you want a small, versatile system centred around TV, turntable and PC. Plain talk: the 2× 60 watts are made for compact and smaller floorstanders in normal rooms, not for large speakers in a big hall. Anyone wanting something even more compact and cheaper, and who doesn't need HDMI, should go for the D3020 V2.

Our verdict

The D3045 is the versatile dwarf of the NAD line-up: HDMI, phono, USB and Bluetooth in a tiny housing. For anyone who wants to turn TV, vinyl and computer into a tidy, great-sounding system.

Technical data

Device type: digital integrated amplifier / DAC / headphone amplifier

Amplifier technology: HybridDigital

Continuous power: 2× 60 watts (4/8 ohms)

DAC: up to 24-bit/192 kHz and DSD

Video/audio: 1× HDMI ARC

Phono input: MM (moving magnet)

Analogue inputs: 1× line level (RCA), 1× phono MM

Digital inputs: 2× optical, 1× coaxial, 1× USB-B (asynchronous)

Outputs: subwoofer output, headphone output

Wireless: Bluetooth aptX HD (bidirectional)

Total harmonic distortion (THD): < 0.005%

Dimensions (W × H × D): 70 × 235 × 265 mm (vertical)

Weight: 3.6 kg

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect the NAD D3045 to my TV?

Yes. Via the HDMI ARC input, you connect the TV directly; the D3045 switches on and off with the TV, and you control the volume with the TV remote. This gives you noticeably better TV sound than the TV's own speaker, without a separate soundbar.

Can I connect a turntable to the NAD D3045?

Yes. The D3045 has a built-in MM phono stage. You connect a turntable with a moving-magnet cartridge directly, without a separate phono preamp. For MC cartridges you need an additional stage. That way, vinyl, TV and digital sources all come together on one device.

Why buy the NAD D3045 from HD Zürisee?

A compact system lives or dies by the right speaker combination. At HD Zürisee in Wädenswil, we'll show you which compact or small floorstanding speakers harmonise with the D3045, and set up the HDMI and vinyl connections properly.
