nadd3020v2
NAD D3020 V2 Digital Integrated Amplifier with Phono

The NAD D3020 V2 is a compact digital integrated amplifier with DAC, headphone amplifier and MM phono, combining 2× 30 watts of HybridDigital power in a space-saving upright housing.

The little classic that replaces entire systems – laid flat or standing upright, always full sound in a small footprint.

Why the NAD D3020 V2?

Because it packs an astonishing amount into a tiny space. The HybridDigital power stage delivers a clean 2× 30 watts, the built-in DAC accepts digital sources up to 24-bit/96 kHz, and with the built-in MM phono, even the turntable connects directly. Bluetooth and a good headphone output make it an uncomplicated all-rounder.

What you get

For its size, the D3020 V2 covers an astonishing amount: MM phono, one line-level input, two optical and one coaxial digital input, plus asynchronous USB-B for the computer. On top of that, Bluetooth, a pre-out and subwoofer output for later, and a full-fledged headphone output. All in a housing that saves space whether lying flat or standing upright.

Who is the NAD D3020 V2 right for – and who isn't it right for?

Ideal for compact setups: desk, bedroom, small living room, often with vinyl and PC audio. Plain talk: the 2× 30 watts are meant for compact speakers and small rooms, not for large floorstanders or party volume levels. Anyone needing more power or HDMI should look at the larger D3045.

Our verdict

The D3020 V2 is the charming space-saving marvel of an amplifier: DAC, phono, Bluetooth and headphones in a tiny housing. For compact systems with high expectations, one of the cleverest small solutions in the NAD line-up.

Technical data

Device type: digital integrated amplifier / DAC / headphone amplifier

Amplifier technology: HybridDigital

Continuous power: 2× 30 watts (4/8 ohms)

DAC: up to 24-bit/96 kHz

Phono input: MM (moving magnet)

Analogue inputs: 1× line level (RCA), 1× phono MM

Digital inputs: 2× optical, 1× coaxial, 1× USB-B (asynchronous)

Outputs: pre-out, subwoofer output, headphone output

Wireless: Bluetooth

Total harmonic distortion (THD): < 0.005%

Dimensions (W × H × D): 70 × 235 × 265 mm (vertical)

Weight: 1.38 kg

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a phono preamp for the NAD D3020 V2?

No. Unlike the original D3020, the V2 has a built-in MM phono input. You connect a turntable with an MM cartridge directly, without an external phono stage. For MC cartridges or higher demands, a separate preamplifier can still be added later.

What speakers is the power of the NAD D3020 V2 sufficient for?

With 2× 30 watts, the D3020 V2 is made for compact and highly efficient bookshelf speakers in small to medium rooms. It's deliberately not designed for large rooms or hard-to-drive floorstanders – that's where a step up makes sense. We're happy to help you figure out which speaker suits your room.

Why buy the NAD D3020 V2 from HD Zürisee?

Especially with compact systems, choosing the right speakers is what matters.
