clearaudioreferencejubilee
Clearaudio Reference Jubilee Turntable

The Clearaudio Reference Jubilee is a high-end turntable limited to 250 units worldwide, which clearaudio built for its 40th anniversary as a complete system with a 9″ universal tonearm, patented magnetic platter bearing (CMB) and Optical Speed Control (OSC).

The distinctive V-shape of Panzerholz and aluminium recalls the first Reference from 1993. Together with the ironless, non-magnetic 24-volt DC motor, suspended on 18 O-rings, the Jubilee brings calm and precision together at reference level.

Why the Reference Jubilee?

Because past, present and future of clearaudio come together here. The patented Ceramic Magnetic Bearing supports the platter almost friction-free, while Optical Speed Control continuously corrects the speed via an infrared sensor – controlled by hybrid electronics combining a 12-bit D/A converter and an analogue motor circuit that self-calibrates. The ironless, non-magnetic motor hangs on 18 O-rings and keeps its vibrations away from the chassis. Straight talk: this isn't a shelf ornament but genuine reference technology in a limited edition.

What you get

A complete turntable system: Reference Jubilee with 9″ universal tonearm (silver internal wiring, DIN connection), the external Professional Power 24V power supply, the Statement record puck and the Outer Limit outer ring. You choose a matching cartridge – such as clearaudio's Jubilee MC – to go with it; we'll match it to your system. Because clearaudio configures the turntable individually depending on the market, we confirm the exact package contents of your order in writing beforehand.

Who is the Reference Jubilee for?

For collectors and music lovers seeking a globally limited reference turntable with character, who know what they have. With a footprint of 495 × 343 mm it fits on any stable rack without dominating the room. Straight talk: if you just want a good turntable, two or three models below serve you perfectly well – the Reference Jubilee is a statement, not a rational purchase.

Our verdict

The Reference Jubilee is the rare piece where the looks don't distract from the substance but explain it: every edge of the V-shape has a mechanical reason. Anyone who needs the 250 units as an argument is looking for the wrong thing – anyone seeking calm, unstrained running finds here one of the most convincing turntables of its class. Tell us what surrounds it, and we'll help you sort out arm, cartridge and setup.

Technical data

Type: turntable, belt drive with Optical Speed Control (system with tonearm)

Bearing: inverted ceramic bearing shaft with sintered-bronze bushing, patented clearaudio magnetic platter bearing (CMB)

Drive: ironless (air-core), non-magnetic 24 V DC motor with belt drive, decoupled via 18 O-rings (IMS)

Motor control: hybrid of 12-bit D/A converter and analogue motor circuit, automatic self-calibration

Speed control: Optical Speed Control (OSC) via infrared sensor

Speeds: 33⅓, 45, 78 rpm

Wow and flutter: < ± 0.05 %

Platter: 50 mm main platter made of POM, dynamically balanced; 15 mm stainless-steel sub-platter (approx. 8.5 kg), dynamically balanced

Plinth: sandwich of Panzerholz and aluminium, V-shape

Tonearm: one armboard, fitted from the factory with the clearaudio Universal 9″ (silver internal wiring, DIN)

Power supply: external Professional Power 24V

Power consumption: max. 5.0 W, operating 2.1 W, standby 1.8 W

Dimensions (W × H × D): 495 × 160 × 343 mm (with armboard, without tonearm)

Weight: approx. 22 kg (without tonearm and power supply)

Edition: limited to 250 units worldwide

Warranty: 5 years with timely registration

Model no.: TT064

Scope of delivery: turntable, universal 9″ tonearm, Professional Power 24V power supply, Statement record puck, Outer Limit outer ring (cartridge separate)

Frequently asked questions

How many units of the Reference Jubilee are there?

The Reference Jubilee is limited to 250 units worldwide – built for clearaudio's 40th anniversary. We check availability and current allocation with the importer briefly before you commit. Just ask us, and we'll get back to you with a binding answer.

Is a cartridge included?

No. Tonearm, power supply, Statement record puck and Outer Limit ring belong to the system package, the cartridge does not. clearaudio offers the Jubilee MC to go with it; we mount and align the system in Wädenswil so it tracks cleanly from the first record.

What does Optical Speed Control (OSC) achieve?

An infrared sensor reads the speed at the sub-platter and corrects even the smallest deviations immediately – including those from stylus drag. Wow and flutter thus stays under ± 0.05 %. The result is a very stable, clean pitch across the whole side of the record.

How much space does the Reference Jubilee need?

It measures 495 mm in width, 343 mm in depth and 160 mm in height, each with armboard and without arm. At around 22 kg, it doesn't belong on a wobbly sideboard: a rigid, decoupled rack pays off audibly.

Why buy the Reference Jubilee from HD Zürisee?

Because a limited reference turntable needs clean setup, arm alignment and a matching system to blossom. That's exactly what we do in Wädenswil – with an ear trained over many years of practice and honest advice instead of sales pressure.
