canton-atelier-inwall-11-c-einbaulautsprecher-weiss
Canton Atelier InWall 11 C Centre Ceiling Speaker, White (Piece)

The Canton Atelier InWall 11 C is a flat 3-way in-wall centre speaker that houses a home cinema's dialogue channel invisibly in the wall.

It shares its driver family and build height with the Atelier InWall 11, but is designed for horizontal installation – typically right beneath the flush-mounted TV. In silk-matte white it all but vanishes on a light-coloured media wall.

Why the Atelier InWall 11 C?

Because in a home cinema, two-thirds of the sound runs through the centre. A 174 mm aluminium-titanium midrange driver, a second 174 mm woofer and two passive radiators give voices a foundation, while the 25 mm aluminium tweeter keeps consonants cleanly separated. This is exactly where thin all-in-one solutions fail.

What you hear

Dialogue that comes from the picture instead of from a box underneath it. Whisper scenes stay intelligible, loud scenes stay calm, and as sound pans from left to right there's no audible break with the front speakers – even from the edge of the sofa.

Who is the Atelier InWall 11 C suited for?

For built-in surround systems, ideally together with the Atelier InWall 11 fronts. Straight talk: as a lone piece between two unrelated speakers, a centre doesn't add much – it lives off the matched system. And at 13 kg and a cutout of 111 × 28.5 cm, it's nothing for a wall you might want to rethink tomorrow.

Our verdict

The centre that rescues dialogue intelligibility without standing out in the living room. If you're planning your home cinema structurally, sketch this in from the start – retrofitting rarely turns out prettier.

Technical data

Type: centre in-wall speaker, 3-way bass-reflex system with passive radiators, horizontal (passive)

Drivers: 1× 25 mm aluminium tweeter, 1× 174 mm aluminium-titanium midrange, 1× 174 mm woofer, 2× passive radiators

Frequency range: 32–40,000 Hz

Crossover frequency: 3,000 Hz

Nominal impedance: 4–8 Ω

Power handling (nominal/music): 140 / 200 W

Sensitivity (2.83 V/1 m): 89.5 dB

Cutout (wall opening): 111 × 28.5 cm (horizontal)

Installation depth: 8.2 cm

Overall size incl. cover (W × H × D): 115 × 32.5 × 9.6 cm

Weight: 13 kg

Finish: silk-matte white, frameless fabric cover

Sales unit: 1 piece

Scope of delivery: centre in-wall speaker with frameless fabric cover, mounting set (brackets and screw set)

Frequently asked questions

What wall cutout does the Atelier InWall 11 C need?

Horizontal, 111 × 28.5 cm at 8.2 cm installation depth; with the cover it measures 115 × 32.5 × 9.6 cm. An opening this wide usually crosses several studs – swapping them out belongs in the planning. We sketch that in for you beforehand.

Where's the best place to mount the centre?

Horizontally and as close as possible to the centre of the picture, usually beneath the flush-mounted TV. What matters is that voice and picture come from the same direction. We set the exact height together, based on your seating position and screen size.

Does the installation need a back chamber or insulation?

The InWall 11 C brings its own bass-reflex system with passive radiators and is set into the wall cavity. Whether your structure additionally needs insulation or sealing to the neighbouring room is decided on site. Mauri, our technician, takes a look.

Is the Atelier InWall 11 C delivered singly?

Yes, the sales unit is one piece – as usual for Canton with this series. For a complete front, you count two Atelier InWall 11 plus this centre. We list out clearly whatever else your room needs before you order.

Why buy the Canton Atelier InWall 11 C from HD Zürisee?

Because a home cinema works as a system, not as a shopping list. HD Zürisee in Wädenswil matches centre, fronts, subwoofer and amplifier to each other, plans the installation with you, and via Mauri also handles mounting and calibration.
