canton-atelier-inwall-11-c-einbaulautsprecher-schwarz
Canton Atelier InWall 11 C Centre Ceiling Speaker, Black (Piece)

The Canton Atelier InWall 11 C is a flat 3-way in-wall centre speaker for horizontal installation in the wall.

In silk-matte black it disappears completely into a dark media wall – which is practical, since the TV hangs right above or below it. At 8.2 cm installation depth it stays within the wall plane instead of standing as a box under the screen.

Why the Atelier InWall 11 C?

Because speech intelligibility isn't an accident. Canton pairs a 174 mm aluminium-titanium midrange driver with a 174 mm woofer here and flanks both with two passive radiators – giving the centre real volume beneath the voices. The 25 mm aluminium tweeter makes sure sibilants stay sibilants instead of turning into noise.

What you hear

Clear, warm dialogue with body, firmly anchored to the picture. The horizontal layout spreads the sound evenly across the row of seats, so the outer seat doesn't become the penalty seat. During action scenes, the voice stays on top instead of being run over by the effects track.

Who is the Atelier InWall 11 C suited for?

For any structurally planned home cinema with InWall fronts – new build, renovation, media panel. Straight talk: if you only watch the occasional film and otherwise listen to stereo music, you don't need a dedicated centre. And a cutout of 111 × 28.5 cm is a structural decision, not a snapshot.

Our verdict

A centre at the level of the fronts, not the usual compromise under the TV. If you're already opening up a wall, don't skimp here – the dialogue track will thank you every evening.

Technical data

Type: centre in-wall speaker, 3-way bass-reflex system with passive radiators, horizontal (passive)

Drivers: 1× 25 mm aluminium tweeter, 1× 174 mm aluminium-titanium midrange, 1× 174 mm woofer, 2× passive radiators

Frequency range: 32–40,000 Hz

Crossover frequency: 3,000 Hz

Nominal impedance: 4–8 Ω

Power handling (nominal/music): 140 / 200 W

Sensitivity (2.83 V/1 m): 89.5 dB

Cutout (wall opening): 111 × 28.5 cm (horizontal)

Installation depth: 8.2 cm

Overall size incl. cover (W × H × D): 115 × 32.5 × 9.6 cm

Weight: 13 kg

Finish: silk-matte black, frameless fabric cover

Sales unit: 1 piece

Scope of delivery: centre in-wall speaker with frameless fabric cover, mounting set (brackets and screw set)

Frequently asked questions

What wall opening and installation depth does the InWall 11 C need?

The horizontal cutout measures 111 × 28.5 cm, the installation depth 8.2 cm; with the cover the centre comes to 115 × 32.5 × 9.6 cm. At this width the stud framing needs to be swapped out. We clarify this with you and your carpenter beforehand.

Does the InWall 11 C fit drywall or a solid wall?

Both work. In drywall the 8.2 cm depth is usually a given; in solid walls you need a prepared niche or a false wall. How much insulation makes sense depends on the neighbouring room – Mauri, our technician, assesses that on site.

Does the centre have to match the InWall 11 fronts?

We recommend it, yes. The same driver family and the same voicing give a transition with no audible break as sound pans from left to right. It works with other fronts too, but rarely sounds as cohesive. We tell you what fits in your specific case.

Is the centre sold singly or as a set?

Singly, sales unit per piece – after all, you only need one centre. Fronts and rears come separately, as does a subwoofer if your room wants one. We're happy to put together the complete parts list for your setup.

Why buy the Canton Atelier InWall 11 C from HD Zürisee?

Because we don't just sell home cinemas, we plan and install them.
