bfly-audio-baseone-geraetebasis
bFly-Audio BaseOne – Birch Device Base

The bFly-Audio BaseOne is a device base made of birch multiplex wood that noticeably decouples equipment and speakers from the surface below.

At bFly-audio it's considered the success story of the series – no coincidence, since the high air content of birch wood already delivers excellent vibration damping in its raw state, before an absorber foot even comes into play.

Why the BaseOne?

Birch multiplex is light, stiff, and still damps well – a material combination that has proven itself in practice for years. This is complemented by bFly-audio's MLA absorber feet, available in your choice of standard or the improved PRO version: the PRO feet have an extra seal on the underside that provides horizontal stability and an additional absorber layer.

What you hear

A calmer sound with a clear, stable soundstage, less diffuse mids, more contour in the low end. Especially noticeable on springy parquet or floorboards, where the decoupling makes a clear difference.

Who is the BaseOne for (and who isn't it for)?

Ideal if you want to noticeably calm down your equipment or speakers without jumping straight to the reference class. Bottom line: if you want to push what's technically possible to the limit, the StoneLine or BaseTwo is the more consistent choice – the BaseOne is the solid, affordable entry into real decoupling, not the maximum.

Our verdict

The BaseOne does exactly what a bestseller should: it delivers an audible, tangible step forward without making you fit a second piece of furniture into your living room. Which size and foot version fits your device is something we're happy to work out together with you at HD Zürisee in Wädenswil.

Technical data

Type: device base for equipment and speakers

Material: birch multiplex board

Height: 53 mm

Colour: Black

Feet: height-adjustable, Standard or PRO (with extra seal and absorber layer)

Sizes: S 25×30 cm, M 44×35 cm, L 50×40 cm, XL 56×46 cm

Manufacturer: bFly-Audio, Germany

Included: 1 device base incl. selected feet

Frequently asked questions

What does birch multiplex offer compared to other materials?

The high air content in birch wood provides good vibration damping even without any extra measures, at low weight and high stiffness. Combined with the MLA absorber feet, that adds up to a well-rounded, coherent base.

Is the PRO version of the feet worth it?

If you want that last bit of calm, yes: the PRO feet add an extra seal, more horizontal stability and an additional absorber layer. For a noticeable entry point, the standard version is entirely sufficient.

What size fits my speaker?

Measure your device's footprint and choose the next size up – between S (25×30 cm) and XL (56×46 cm) you'll find a fitting size for most floorstanding speakers and racks. If you're unsure, we're happy to advise you by phone.

Can I put the BaseOne under a heavy tube amplifier?

Yes, the height-adjustable feet also compensate for uneven floors and reliably carry the weight of the equipment. For especially heavy power amps we recommend choosing the larger size, so the base doesn't reach its edge.

Why buy the bFly-Audio BaseOne at HD Zürisee?

We work out with you whether the BaseOne is enough for your room and your equipment, or whether stepping up to the StoneLine is worthwhile – based on years of experience in our store in Wädenswil.
