The damping density is correspondingly high, so that large, heavy chassis are reliably supported and decoupled at the same time.

Who is the Level 5 Black for?

Level 5 Black is designed for electronics weighing 10.1 to 20 kg per foot – so heavy power amps or massive integrated amp chassis. For most normal integrated amps, this level is already too firm, where Level 3 or 4 gives better damping. Level 5 isn't intended for speakers – for those, there are the dedicated speaker Levels 6 and 7.

Our verdict

The right choice for the heavyweight electronic exceptions in your rack, but overkill for anything lighter. Checking the exact weight is especially worthwhile here.

Technical data

Colour/level: Black (Level 5)

Load range per foot: 10.1–20 kg

Material: visco-elastic damping materials of varying density

Application: electronics

Price set of 3: CHF 350.00

Price set of 4: CHF 450.00

Scope of delivery: set of 3 Bassocontinuo Ultra Feet Level 5 Black

Frequently asked questions

What weight is Level 5 Black designed for?
Level 5 Black covers heavy electronics weighing 10.1 to 20 kg per foot, such as massive power amps or particularly heavy integrated amps. For normal integrated amps this is usually too much – Level 3 or 4 is a better fit there.

Is Level 5 the heaviest electronics level?
Yes, Level 5 Black is the top tier for electronics in the Ultra Feet series. For even higher loads, as found with speakers, Bassocontinuo has Levels 6 and 7, purpose-built for that.

Can I put Level 5 under a turntable?
Not really directly – for turntables, Bassocontinuo offers Level 8, a level specifically tuned for that purpose. Level 5 is designed for heavy electronics chassis, not for the specific requirements of a turntable.

Why does heavy electronics need a firmer level?
The heavier the device, the more a too-soft damping material would compress and lose its isolating effect. A denser material like Level 5 carries the weight without bottoming out, while continuing to damp effectively.

Why buy Bassocontinuo Ultra Feet from HD Zürisee?
HD Zürisee in Wädenswil gives you personal advice on which level suits your device and weight.
