If you buy the PA 8.3 without an output module from the factory, or want to try out a second, different output character, this is the module to reach for – a direct comparison with the tube module is the best way to find out which character suits your own chain.

Technical Data

Function: transistor output stage, balanced, DC-coupled

Connections: balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA

Volume control: positioned ahead of the outputs

Form factor: plug-in module, tool-free swap according to the manufacturer

Compatible base units: AVM Ovation PA 8.3

Frequently Asked Questions

Is an output module even mandatory, or does the PA 8.3 play without one?
An output module – solid-state or tube – is the minimum fit-out needed for the preamp to deliver a signal to the power amplifier. Without one of the two modules, the PA 8.3 stays silent.

How does this module differ sonically from the Tube-OUT?
Solid-state delivers a neutral, very controlled output character, while the Tube-OUT brings the typical tube warmth. The best way is to hear both variants directly compared, and let your ear decide instead of a description.

Why buy it from HD Zürisee?
We know both output modules from our own experience and help you find, without detours, the variant that suits your power amplifier and your taste.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0932/3262/8048/files/avm-ovation-pa-8-3-solid-state-out-modul-schraegansicht.png?v=1788607884
