avm-line-out-modul-ovation-pa-8-3
AVM Line-OUT Output Module for Ovation PA 8.3

The AVM Line-OUT is a retrofit module for the modular AVM Ovation PA preamp that adds an extra, volume-independent output for a separate recording device or second unit.

Unlike the regular preamp output to the power amplifier, this module delivers a signal at a fixed level – classically intended as a "tape monitor" for a recording device, but just as handy for a second room, a headphone amplifier, or an active subwoofer system that should run independently of the main volume. As with all Ovation modules: you only plug in what you actually need, and leave the slot free for other expansions otherwise.

Technical Data

Function: extra line output with fixed level (tape monitor)

Connections: balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA

Output level: fixed, independent of the main volume

Form factor: plug-in module, tool-free swap according to the manufacturer

Compatible base units: AVM Ovation PA 8.3

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need a fixed output instead of a regulated one?
For anything that should run independently of the PA 8.3's volume control – for example an active subwoofer with its own level control, a headphone amplifier in a second room, or a classic recording device. That way, the main volume control stays untouched.

Can I use several Line-OUT modules at the same time?
In principle, yes, as long as free module slots are available.
