avm-digital-in-modul-ovation-pa-8-3
AVM Digital-IN Modul with DAC for Ovation PA 8.3

The AVM Digital-IN Modul is a retrofit module for the modular AVM Ovation PA preamp that connects digital sources via USB and S/PDIF and converts them directly into the analogue preamp signal with a built-in DAC.

If you want to connect a streamer, a NAS, a computer or a digital source with an S/PDIF output to the PA 8.3, this is the one module you need – there's no separate external DAC required, the conversion happens directly inside the preamp. That's the core of the AVM module concept: instead of buying a preamp that does a bit of everything, you fit it with exactly the digital connections your setup actually needs, and leave out what you don't use.

Technical Data

Connections: 1× USB (asynchronous), 2× S/PDIF coaxial, 1× S/PDIF optical

Conversion: built-in DAC, PCM up to 384 kHz/32 bit, DSD up to DSD128

Output level: fixed, direct analogue feed into the preamp

Form factor: plug-in module, tool-free swap according to the manufacturer

Compatible base units: AVM Ovation PA 8.3

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I still need an external DAC if I have this module?
No, the DAC is already built into the module and converts PCM up to 384 kHz/32 bit as well as DSD up to DSD128. Digital sources go in directly via USB or S/PDIF, and it comes back out of the preamp in analogue form.

Can I also connect my TV via S/PDIF with this?
Yes, a TV with an optical or coaxial digital output connects easily via one of the two S/PDIF sockets. However, the module isn't designed for the return channel (ARC/eARC over HDMI).

Why buy it from HD Zürisee?
We clarify in advance which module fits your actual sources, instead of selling you more than you need – and Mauri installs it professionally on request.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0932/3262/8048/files/avm-ovation-pa-8-3-digital-in-modul-mit-dac-schraegansicht.png?v=1788607884
